A long time ago
I shot black and white film
And spent time in a dark Dark room
MEANWHILE I WAS RAISED IN A ROADTRIPPING FAMILY, VISITING NATIONAL PARKS FROM YOSEMITE TO LASSEN
Here, I learned the boundless beauty of the deepest forests. Years later, I would be drawn back to the mountains, this time above the treeline, carrying only a pack and a sense of determination to attempt longer trips in High Sierra backcountry.
THE RANGE OF LIGHT
Equipped with a lightweight digital camera, I could more easily bring my vision to seldom explored places.
MY HOPE IS TO FIND BEAUTY IN THE WORLD
Taking photos is a tremendous privilege. I owe a debt of gratitude to my family, the National Park Service and all of the countless hiking partners I've dragged along on my adventures. And to all I've learned from.
